Holds PhD in religious studies. She worked as the researcher in research project focused on religion in Angola, based in ICS UL in Lisbon and as the Visiting Research Fellow at SOAS in London, developing her research project on Angolan Pentecostal churches in the UK. She specializes in social sciences research on religion. One of her principal research focus is contemporary Pentecostalism, particularly in Angola, Cape Vert, Brazil, Portugal and UK. Currently, she develops a research project on Pentecostalism, Otherness and Activism in contemporary Poland, that engages with Ukrainian and African Pentecostals in Poland.  She leads also a project on Urbanity and Religion in Poland (RUM Project, https://rum.project.uj.edu.pl).

She works as the Assistant Professor at the Institute for the Study of Religion at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków.
