ANGOLA ACTIVISM GENDER QUEER (AAGQ)

RESEARCH GROUP

Is a research group, aimed at developing structures and frameworks for the research on the public space of gender and LGBTQ+ in Angola.

The group integrates scholars from different Universities in Europe and Africa. We plan to organise two on-site meetings, one in Luanda, Angola and another in Kraków, Poland to debate the public space of gender and LGBTQ+ from different geographical and socio-political, and religious angles.  

The unobvious geographical juxtaposition aims in taking the debate on gender and LGBTQ+ into a new dimension by linking the African and Central European experiences.
